Egis executed the pre-feasibility and feasibility study of the aerial cable in the northern zone of Ciudad Bolivar, with four stations and a length of 3.3 km. One of its objectives is to give priority to areas with less accessibility.

The challenge.
Traveling through ciudad Bolivar
To make viable a transportation system that manages to cross a basin with geotechnical and social problems, due to the mining operations that were previously carried out and the informal constructions that are present in the area.
Encourage the creation of integral spaces; as part of the project, spaces will be created that contribute to the creation of a more resilient, solid and sustainable local economy.

Transportation for all
The project was developed in two stages. In the first pre-feasibility stage, different alternatives were evaluated to connect the upper part of Ciudad Bolivar with the mass transportation system (TransMilenio and Metro), choosing the most viable one to continue in the next stage.
In the second feasibility stage, technical studies of topography, structures, networks, environmental, social, electromechanical, geometric design, traffic and transportation, architecture, urban planning and landscaping of the selected alternative were carried out.
All this in order to offer a formal and efficient transportation system to improve mobility and quality of life.

From a technical team of various specialties Egis designed a safe, fast and efficient transportation system. With urban planning and landscaping that promises to improve social conditions of insecurity and vacant areas, creating green spaces, parks and social recreation areas.
