Our experience in supervisions and in working under the BIM methodology allowed us to collaborate in a fruitful way in this great project guaranteeing the safety and capacity of the construction.
Improving Public Health.
The Hospital has 215 beds, 136 rooms, 7 specialized surgery rooms, 12 Intensive Care Units, 8 Intermediate Care Units, among other essential aspects and state-of-the-art technology in the health area, making it not only one of the most innovative hospitals, but also the most important in Bogotá, benefiting 2.5 million people.

The challenge.
A major health project in Bogotá
The project was set up in less than 3 years, being one of the largest in the health sector in Bogota, so the BIM implementation was vital for the proper production and in our case supervision of the systems.

A project with efficiency
The collaborative work by different groups under the adoption of the BIM methodology made the hospital consortium a highly efficient process. The construction projects will be able to generate 33% cost savings, 50% in deadlines and up to 20% increase in productivity.

The vision of a megaproject
The construction progress was recorded with interactive boards and the construction tours were implemented with augmented reality, superimposing the digital project of the already built work on the real spaces.
Also, a permanent monitoring of the work was carried out with drone flights and 360 videos that allowed a constant evaluation of the progress of the work.

Creating spaces for quality care
This project is the first Public-Private Health Partnership in Colombia, which is at the heart of the mission of IFC - International Finance Corporation.
With an approximate population of 640,000 inhabitants, Bosa had only 66 hospital beds, in shared rooms and with low-tech equipment. As a reference, Washington DC has about 670,000 inhabitants and more than 3,600 beds. The hospital will add 215 private beds and will provide highly complex medical services to a population that has been demanding them for more than two decades.
The construction achieved a LEED silver level certification (Leader in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Design). This makes it not only a hospital prepared in health material but also in sustainable systems.
