Making a passenger and freight train line viable
It is a train that will run along the Zipaquirá-Cajicá-Chía-Bogotá route, which will be structured in a multipurpose rail system allowing the passengers and freight transportation and the connection with the future Regiotram de Occidente, the first tram project in Bogotá, as well as other means of transportation such as Transmilenio, SITP, cab systems and bicycle lanes networks.
Some of Egis’ challenges are studying whether it is possible to coexist freight and passenger transport in the corridor, evaluating passenger demand and defining a mass transportation system that operates both in the metropolitan area (Bogota) and in Sabana.
