Doubling airport capacity.
Back in 2017 Clark International Airport (CIA), located 100km north of Manila in Philippines, had one passenger terminal building (PTB) with a capacity of 4 million passengers per annum accommodating both domestic and international flights. To accommodate growing demand, the airport embarked on an expansion program to achieve an initial capacity of 8 million passengers per annum with one runway system through the construction of a new 116,000 sqm passenger terminal building. The Clark Airport Expansion Project was a PPP project under the country’s ‘Build Build Build’ program.
Under the PPP program, an Independent Consultant for the Clark Airport Expansion Project was procured to provide an independent review, monitoring, approval, and reporting of activities related to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) activities.
