SB Architects, the architecture and design practice specialising in creating international hospitality destinations, is to join Egis. This strategic acquisition not only broadens Egis’ geographical reach in the USA, but also enhances the Group’s expertise in hospitality design.
This operation brings Egis new international openings by allowing us to compete for high-profile projects in new markets. Our Group, which already works with some of the world’s leading architectural firms, thus expands its design and architectural capabilities in the specific field of hospitality.
Based in San Francisco, SB Architects has extended its leadership in hospitality, residential, and mixed-use architecture in thirty countries and across four continents. The practice has designed award-winning projects around the world, such as Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Puerto Rico, Calistoga Ranch, an Auberge Resort in California, the five-star AMARA Hotel in Cyprus, and Conrad Punta de Mita, Hilton’s first-ever Conrad brand resort in Mexico.
This acquisition reflects Egis’ strategic ambition to establish a portfolio of leading architecture practices throughout the world in critical building sectors in the aim of further driving synergies within the Group.
Hong Kong-based 10 Design joined Egis in 2017 as the first international architecture firm and continues to lead the design of large mixed-use projects worldwide.
In March 2022, the London firm Weston Williamson + Partners joined the Group, contributing its particular expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects. Today, SB Architects is bringing its contribution to our skill chain, this time in North America.
