Egis, in collaboration with our partner Network Rail Consulting, has been selected to provide systems engineering services for California's High-Speed Rail Program through the RSES contract.
This monumental undertaking aims to revolutionize travel across California by seamlessly connecting major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Diego with a state-of-the-art 200-mph train network. Phase 1 of the project will span from Los Angeles to San Francisco, while Phase 2 will encompass extensions to Sacramento in the North and San Diego in the South.
The operational commencement, expected between 2030 and 2033, will initially cover a segment stretching 171 miles (275km) between Merced and Bakersfield.
By leveraging our expertise and dedication, we are poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation in California. This project not only promises enhanced connectivity and accessibility but also underscores our collective commitment to sustainable and efficient travel solutions.
We extend our gratitude to all involved stakeholders and express our enthusiasm for the journey ahead as we work together to realize the vision of a modern, interconnected, and environmentally conscious transportation network for the benefit of all Californians.
