Egis is proud to announce the extension of its digital parking contract with Milton Keynes City Council for three years.
In 2018, Milton Keynes City Council appointed Egis to deliver a UK first digital parking enforcement operation across 21,000 parking spaces in the city. The results have led to a positive shift in driver behaviour that has delivered a 13.3% increase in compliant revenue compared to pre-pandemic levels.
The adoption of Egis’ digital solution has helped the council significantly improve the efficiency of enforcement officers, with every CEO seeing an increase in Hourly Parking Charge Notice (PCN) issuance rate. This resulted in a 53.6% increase in total PCNs issued by the existing workforce.
Under the extension Egis will continue to deliver the same suite of digital technologies developed to optimise parking management across the city. These solutions include Egis' unique 'Dispatch' software and cutting-edge ANPR scan car, which achieves swift and accurate detection of parking contraventions by digitally scanning around 750,000 vehicles per month within its scheduled patrol area.
The solution has been pioneered by Egis in 21 cities across Europe, where it manages over 250,000 parking spaces. Milton Keynes City Council’s focus on a digital first approach has seen it become the first place in the UK to benefit from the experiences of cities like Paris and Amsterdam to achieve greater compliance with parking regulations.
