Al Ula is an outstanding region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its size, its beauty and its archaeological interest, the Kingdom aimes to make it the cultural capital of the country, a great plan is underway for its development.
A contract establishing a long-term strategic partnership between the Royal Commission for Al Ula (RCU) and a French consortium was signed on 27 October 2021. This consortium, comprising Egis, Assystem and Setec, will be responsible for accelerating the development of Al Ula, which is entering an implementation phase following the launch of its Masterplan in April 2021.
The three companies will mobilize an international team with complementary skills and experience to manage the execution and operation of all of Al Ula County's infrastructure (water, electricity, mobility, etc.). The French consortium will bring to the Royal Commission its expertise in infrastructure program management and construction management to secure priority projects and long-term development of Al Ula. Part of the team will be based in AlUla and will include high-level specialists in engineering, construction and operations management.
